With a population of 5.6 million the Greater Toronto Area is the largest metropolitan area in Canada. The Regional Municipality of Halton consists of one city, Burlington, and three townships, Halton Hills, Oakville, and Milton. The Regional Municipality of York is made up of the city of Vaughn and eight towns.
